Maid Marien’s Catering, a Saskatchewan-based company, needed a refreshed brand and website to match owner Samantha’s transition from Whippletree Coffee to focusing exclusively on catering. I modernized her iconic knife/fork/bow and arrow logo by streamlining it for a contemporary yet recognizable look. Inspired by Whippletree Coffee’s charm, I incorporated subtle chalkboard-inspired aesthetics into her menu and website, adding warmth without overusing the theme. To honour the strong women in Samantha’s life, I used a modernized medieval typeface for the brand name, “Maid Marien’s.” The new website prioritized functionality, allowing seamless ordering and enhancing the professional experience her catering services provide.
